Fall 2009

FIRST CLASS DAY

Housing Cancellation Deadlines
Fall Semester, 2009
Return to Campus Living Application Period Contracts (Application Code: RF0910)
You are strongly encouraged to think carefully about canceling your housing application, and urged to cancel within the stated deadlines, as financial penalties will be incurred by canceling outside those deadlines. Cancellations may be done online using the Nyumba Student Gateway.
By May 1, 2009, at 11:59 PM (EST)
Deposit refunded and all charges for residential services are removed from the student's account.
From May 2, 2009, at 12:00 AM (EST) through August 21, 2009, at 11:59 PM (EST)
Student will forfeit the deposit and be responsible for payment of a $750.00 liquidation fee.
After August 21, 2009, at 11:59 PM (EST)
Student will forfeit the deposit and be responsible for payment of a $750.00 liquidation fee, and charges for residential services on a prorated basis.
New Application Period Contracts (Application Code: NF0910)
By July 1, 2009, at 11:59 PM (EST)
Deposit refunded and all charges for residential services are removed from the student's account.
From July 2, 2009, at 12:00 AM (EST) through August 21, 2009, at 11:59 PM (EST)
Student will forfeit the deposit and be responsible for payment of a $750.00 liquidation fee.
After August 21, 2009, at 11:59 PM (EST)
Student will forfeit the deposit and be responsible for payment of a $750.00 liquidation fee, and charges for residential services on a prorated basis.
Spring, 2010
All Application Period Contracts
By December 1, 2009, at 11:59 PM (EST)
Deposit refunded and all charges for residential services are removed from the student's account.
From December 2, 2009, at 12:00 AM through January 8, 2010, at 11:59 PM
Forfeiture of deposit, payment of $750 liquidation fee, and all charges for residential services are removed from the student's account.
After January 8, 2010, at 11:59 PM
Forfeiture of deposit, payment of $750 liquidation fee, and charges for residential services on a prorated basis.
University Holidays
Fall 2009
Thanksgiving: Wednesday, November 25 - Sunday, November 29, 2009
(no classes; residential areas remain open; offices closed November 26-29, 2009)
Winter Break: begins Sunday, December 20, 2009
(University offices closed December 24-January 1, 2010; all residential areas remain open)
Spring 2010
Martin Luther King, Jr., Day: Monday, January 18, 2010
(all residential areas remain open but offices are closed)
Spring Break: Monday, March 8 - Saturday, March 13, 2010
(all residential areas remain open and offices are open)
Spring Holiday: Friday, April 2 - Saturday April 3, 2010
(all residential areas remain open; offices are closed April 3)
