Fall 2017 Room Changes, 9/7 & 9/8

Want to change your space? Room changes for the Fall 2017 semester are being held on Thursday, September 7 and Friday, September 8 from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. All residents are eligible to process room changes into available tower rooms, suites and apartments. Residence Education Coordinators (REC) and Graduate Assistants (GA) will process the requested changes at each of the loan key desks (Belk, Hunt, Levine and Martin) during the days and times listed below. Please review all of the following information to ensure that you know what to do if you plan on participating. Room changes require the written approval of a REC or GA working at one of the loan key desks. Requests will be honored on a first come, first served basis. If you cannot be present during the following times, a friend can process your room change for you by taking your valid student picture ID and completing the room change form at the designated room change. 

NOTE- All room changes will be processed at the Loan Key Desks rather than in each residence Hall. Please go to the Loan Key Desk responsible for the building that you wish to live in. Listed below is each Loan Key Desk and the buildings they will cover for room changes:

Belk Hall Loan Key Desk

Room Change Process
  1. Consult the vacancy list online or in your hall to see what rooms are available for spring. Vacancy lists will also be posted in each area by 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 6 near the office of your hall. An updated vacancy list will be posted on Thursday, September 7 by 4:00 pm.
  2. Go to the designated Loan Key Desk for the building(s) that you are considering for room your room change. Wait in line to meet with the REC/GA during the appropriate time (check below for scheduled days and times). Student picture IDs are required for room changes.
  3. Fill out a room change form.
  4. Once the form is processed, follow the instructions and steps on the room change form to complete your room change.
  5. NOTE - All approved moves must be completed within 24 hours. Work with the REC/GA to arrange your move. 

Room Change Schedule
  • Thursday, September 7, 7:00 am to 9:00 am: Shirt-Tailing and Claiming Double Room As A Single Room
  • Friday, September 8, 7:00 am to 9:00 am: Any On-Campus Resident
