Summer Housing Applications are available now! Summer Housing will be available in Martin Hall and Greek Village. There are two housing terms available: Summer I, May 21- June 29 and Summer II, July 2-August 11. A separate application must be submitted for each term, along with a $50 deposit per term.

UNC Charlotte offers safe, affordable housing on a traditional university campus for college students with internships in the Charlotte area. Intern Housing is for students enrolled at a college or university and working full-time in an internship or job in the Charlotte area. UNC Charlotte is located in northeast Charlotte, conveniently located off North Tryon, I-85 and I-485. Our campus is less than 10 miles and approximately 20-30 minutes from Center City (Uptown).

Congratulations to all of the 2016 Campus Cribs Contest Grand Prize Winners!

Each Grand Prize winner will receive a $1,000 Housing Scholarship, applicable toward their Spring On Campus Housing bill, and priority room selection on campus in the highly competitive 2017/2018 Return to Campus Living campaign that begins in February.

Thank you to all the on campus residents that participated in this year’s Campus Cribs Contest! We look forward to hosting this event again next Fall.

As a result of the off campus events on the evening of September 20, 2016, there have been peaceful demonstrations on campus today. As a reminder, all of our residence halls are locked 24 hours a day. The fact that the residence hall doors are locked today is not a change in procedure. As always we encourage our residents to be diligent about their security and the security of those around them. We advise residents not to allow strangers into their buildings as well as to report anything that seems suspicious.

Room changes for the Fall 2016 semester are being held on Thursday, September 8 and Friday, September 9 from 7:00 am– 9:00 am at each of our halls with vacancies. All residents are eligible to process room changes into available tower rooms, suites and apartments. The requested changes will be processed in all residence halls. To process the changes, residents should go to the hall that they want to change to. For more information visit the Room Change webpage

Room Change Process

  1. Consult the vacancy list online or near your hall office to see what rooms are available for Fall. Vacancy lists will be posted in each area by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7 near the office of your hall and online. An updated vacancy list will be posted on Thursday, September 8 by 3:00 pm.
  2. Wait in line to meet with the REC/GA at the hall you want to move into during the appropriate time (check below for scheduled days and times). Student picture IDs are required for room changes.
  3. Fill out a room change form.
  4. Once the form is processed, follow the instructions and steps on the room change form to complete your room change.

  5. NOTE - All approved moves must be completed within 24 hours. Work with the REC or GA to arrange your move.

  • Thursday, September 8, 7:00 am - 9:00 am, Shirt-Tailing, Claiming Double Room As A Single Room, Internal House Moves in Greek Village Changes ONLY

  • Friday, September 9, 7:00 am - 9:00 am Any On-Campus Changes.

Housing and Residence Life is pleased to announce the 2016 Campus Cribs Contest for all campus residents. 
Grand prizes will be awarded in the categories of:

  • Best Suite
  • Best Apartment
  • Best Greek Village Room

ALL participants of the contest will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win an iPad mini, Niner Spirit Pack or $100 Target gift card, regardless of whether or not they are selected as a finalist or grand prize winner.

Grand prizes in each category will receive a $1,000 Housing Scholarship, applicable to your Spring Housing bill AND priority pre-lottery room selection on campus in the highly competitive 2017/2018 Return to Campus Living campaign that begins in February. All residents listed as participants in the entry form will be eligible to win the prizes listed. (The grand prize will be split between multiple participants listed on the entry form for a single submission).

Move-In arrival times have now been assigned. ​To find out your assigned Move-In date and time follow the folllowing steps:

  1. Log into your Housing Account to see your Housing Assignment
  2. Once you have that information, visit the Move-In Arrival Times page on our Move-In website. Every resident has been assigned a Move-In arrival date and time based on their room assignment.
  3. Click on your assigned Residence Hall on the list, then scroll through until you find your specific room assignment.

Assigned arrival times are required for students in all buildings. All students will have an assigned arrival time on one of the two check in days, Friday, August 19 or Saturday, August 20. Assigned arrival times will be scheduled in one hour blocks of time by Housing and Residence Life in order to manage traffic flow on campus and in the buildings. It is very important that you do all you can to adhere to the arrival time given. Residents who cannot make their arrival time will be asked to come to late check-in on Sunday, August 21.
