Welcome to the Housing and Residence Life Facilities Services at UNC Charlotte. We are responsible for the management and operation of all HRL buildings and offices on the UNC Charlotte campus. This includes management and operation of:

Our facilities services team delivers routine maintenance services to keep your home in full working order, Monday through Friday during normal business hours. We also provide 24-hour a day back-up coverage to make sure that emergency issues and problems are handled quickly and efficiently.

HRL Facilities Services is responsible for providing an array of facility and property management services that include:

Getting Help

If you are a current resident, please use our online Work Request submission to report a problem or issue with your room. If your problem is an emergency during business hours, please contact the HRL Facilities Services Office at 704‑687‑7502. For after hours emergency services, please contact your Resident Advisor, the Resident Advisor On Duty, or the University Police for assistance.

Damage Billing Charges

Any damages which occur to your room during the year will be assessed to your Student Account when you either move from one room to another or check out at the end of the semester or the year. The Appeals Process

You have the right to appeal any bill you receive. Appeals for any facilities damage bill must be submitted in writing to the Housing Facilities Office within thirty (30) days of the billing date. Appeals are decided by the RC and reviewed by the Associate Director for Operations.

Appeals for facilities damage billing should be sent via email to HRLFacilities@uncc.edu and include your name, student ID number, and room assignment. The appeal should describe in detail how and why the bill originated and the reason it should be waived or reduced in amount, and the specific adjustments that are being requested.

Appeals are answered by letter and generally students will receive a reply to an appeal within thirty (30) days. Financial adjustments, if appropriate, will be applied directly to your Student Account.
