Do you think you know what a typical "government" job is like? Do you think it will be all about rules and regulations? We invite you to think again and to explore Housing Technology Services (HTS) and all we have to offer. When you are a member of the HTS team you will find challenging work and unique opportunities that are common in the private sector but with the stability and latitude found only in higher education. Working for HTS allows you to work on the cutting edge of new and innovative technologies, business processes, and services. And as a newer unit within the Department, you will find plenty of room for making an impact. As an auxiliary enterprise of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the Department of Housing and Residence Life generates its own revenue and does not utilize tax payer funds in its operations. In fiscal year 2009 that amounted to nearly $20 million in self-generated revenues. And HTS plays a key role in managing that revenue. As an auxiliary enterprise, however, we must also ensure that the housing, educational, and security needs of our 5,000 residents are met on a daily basis. Our team develops and implements the technology foundation used by our parent department to support these business operations. From residential services during the academic year to conference guest housing in the summer, our unit works hard year-round to ensure that the correct resources are delivered to our users on-time and within budget. We are looking for professionals to join our team to help us meet this goal. We employ both undergraduate and graduate students of the University as well as a number of professional technologists in areas ranging from database administration to training. We invite you to take a look at our current openings below and follow the instructions for applying if you think that you're ready to join a team that is on the leading edge!
