UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS WITH A PC REQUIREMENT

Your major or program of study may have a computer requirement or recommendation. We strongly encourage residential students to visit their academic department or college website to see if their program has specific guidance prior to purchase.

The Department of Housing and Residence Life has no minimum requirements for computers in order to be used on the residential network. We do, however, strongly recommend the use of a firewall and anti-virus / anti-malware technologies and to be sure that they are up to date prior to connecting the device to the network.

UNIVERSITY PURCHASE PROGRAMS FOR HARDWARE & SOFTWARE

At this time, the University does not offer a direct purchasing program. However, several vendors do offer a discount purchase program that is available to all students.

Students should consider purchasing their software through the University Bookstore on campus for access to Academic Priced software. This software is, often times, the exact same software you would buy elsewhere, but at deep discounts.
