Cancellations

Below are the cancellation deadlines for the upcoming semesters. Review your Contract for Residential Services for your application period to find the further information about penalties related to your cancellation.


Housing Cancellation Request

To request cancellation of your housing contract, you must log into your housing account and submit a Housing Cancellation Request. 


2018-2019 Cancellation Deadlines

Summer 2019 Contract

1st Summer Term

  • By 11:59 PM (EST) on May 1, 2019
    Deposit is refunded andall charges for residential services are removed from the student’saccount.

  • After 11:59 PM (EST) on May 1, 2019
    Student will forfeit the deposit and beresponsible for payment of a $250.00 liquidation fee and anycharges for residential services on a prorated basis.

2nd Summer Term

  • By 11:59 PM (EST) on June 7, 2019
    Deposit is refunded andall charges for residential services are removed from the student’saccount.
  • After 11:59 PM (EST) on June 7, 2019
    Student will forfeit the deposit and beresponsible for payment of a $250.00 liquidation fee and anycharges for residential services on a prorated basis.

2019-2020 Cancellation Deadlines

Fall 2019 - Spring 2020 Academic Year Contract

(Includes all students living on campus Fall semester and assigned for Spring semester)

  • June 1, 2019
    Deposit is refunded and all charges for residential services are removed from the student’s account.
  • June 2, 2019 through July 15, 2019
    Student will forfeit the deposit and be responsible for payment of a $750.00 liquidated damages fee.
  • July 16, 2019 through August 15, 2019
    Student will forfeit the deposit and be responsible for paying 50% of the annual housing charges as liquidated damages, not as a penalty.
  • Beginning August 16, 2019
    Student will forfeit the deposit and be responsible for paying 100% of the annual housing charges as liquidated damages, not as a penalty.
